We need YOU at the football game!


Band Boosters need several adult VIPS approved volunteers (band and guard parents) for EVERY football game! This is a great opportunity to support your child and the band. All games are listed below; use the link to sign-up today or log-in to your child’s Charms account.

Frequently Asked Questions


Do I need to be VIPS approved to chaperone?

YES! This is a school event and we must follow district guidelines. Please follow the instructions listed here.


What do I need to do as a chaperone?

You will be given a job role when you arrive. Job roles could consist of filling water jugs, uniforms, 3rd quarter break, pit crew, guard equipment, and other general chaperone duties.


Do chaperones ride the bus?

Yes, all chaperones ride the bus to and from the events. The only exception are home games and game requiring students to provide their own transportation.


Do chaperones pay to get into the games?

No, chaperones are free to all games when arriving with the band.


How long do chaperones have to stay at the games?

Chaperones arrive at the students’ call time. Chaperones are expected to stay with the band from call time through dismissal. Generally, this time frame is 5:00-11:00pm, pending overtime and travel time.


Should I eat dinner prior to chaperoning?

Yes, all students and chaperones should eat prior to arriving at call time. You will not have time to visit concessions during the game. The first break is during 3rd quarter.


May I sit with my child during the football game?

No, chaperons have a job to do. You will be with the band the entire time but may not have a duty within your child’s section.


If I am not chaperoning, may I sit with my child?

No, your child has a job to do; please allow him or her the opportunity to fulfill required responsibilities. Only band and guard students, and approved chaperones are permitted in the band area.


May I chaperone with a young child?

No, we need your attention on the task at hand. Only band students and chaperones are permitted on the buses and in the band area.


Do I receive volunteer hours for chaperoning?

Yes, all chaperones receive volunteer credit for the number of hours worked.
