Weekly Music Notes Oct 21-25

It is the week we have been working for all marching band season!! This coming Saturday we have our Marching Music Performance Assessment in Deland at Spec Martin Stadium. Our performance time is 6:15. Please plan on coming to see your students perform at this event. This will be the last time we perform the marching show for the year! Thank you so much for your help during the season. We do have one more football game after this week at Lake Howell. As we turn the page on another marching band season, please understand that we need your help just as much for the rest of the year. There are many more band events that we need parents to volunteer and chaperone at. I hope to keep you up to date as much as possible moving forward. With the help of all the parents and booster member we have built the most successful organization on campus over the last ten years and we will continue to be extremely successful because of your commit to helping your students and our organization. As many of you may have heard by now, a former member of the band program passed away last week. Please take the time to talk to your students about this and talk to them about how they are doing and feeling. It has been a tough week and I believe we will be stronger for it as individuals and as a family. Please know that I am always there for your students and will help in anyway possible.

Senior Breakfast Details Each year all the seniors bring in a dish for senior breakfast and we eat before practice in the band room. Students will signup for a dish to bring in. It will be sent out later this week. This is one of my favorite traditions and I hope all seniors join us again this year! If there is a parent or two that would like to help with this, please let me know.
